Hornsby Riders Long Ride Route

Ride for the "Hornsby Riders" Motorcycle Group.
Lovely ride from the BP in Asquith, where you can refuel and ready yourself for the ride ahead. Taking the Old Pacific Highway up to Sommersby, enjoy the smooth, easy curves, then turn off onto Wiseman's Ferry Road with scenic twisties along Mangrove Creek and the Hawkesbury River. Plenty of scenic places to stop and rest along the way. Once you reach Wiseman's Ferry, take the ferry across the river, and then make your way back towards Hornsby along the Old Northern Road. Great chance to stop at Glenorie Bakery for some great quality food and coffee. The final stretch of the ride takes you through Dural and Galston, taking the Galston Road Cliffside Run up back to Hornsby. If you want to have a bit of fun, wait down at the wooden bridge on Galston Road until there is a 30 second gap from the car in front of you, then have fun on the way up the twists back to the Ampol end-point. This little group of shops is a great finishing location for fuel, coffee and anything else you may want after a nice ride. Any skill levels will find this route manageable and fun, as well as a great opportunity to enhance their own skills.
